Sudden Beams is a platform that supports and promotes South Asian artists working with sound and digital media in the UK and internationally. We create opportunities to see, experience and engage with digital culture from across the South Asian region, and UK and global communities. Sudden Beams is curated and produced by Platform Asia.
Sudden Beams provides space for South Asian artists and communities to experiment, create and showcase sound and digital work. We aim to:
- offer public opportunities to explore and engage with contemporary South Asian art and culture;
- support emerging talent through collaborations, commissions, exhibitions and professional development opportunities;
- build communal and creative networks between artists, communities and the public.
